![]() Overall, you pick the pieces with the biggest bonuses, either damage or stats (+% damage bonuses roughly equal double the stat bonuses), and you then balance your stats with enchantments, boons, companion gear, mount equip power. ![]() When your item level is very high, then you only care about the bonuses, as the more item level, the less it matters. ![]() When your item level is low, you want more of it (though stats matter too, but less). In regular content, it's kinda the same, but item level adds up in the equation. In scaled content, it's all about the item bonuses, and getting rid of unnecessary collars and utility enchantments, even pieces of gear which do not improve stats you need (a healer could be better running naked to improve their Outgoing Healing and Forte stats), as long as your item level stays above the scaling level.
